Another chance to hop on the Gravy Train has arrived! Does someone have a birthday coming up that needs a special gift? Are you seeing this message from another city but would love to give the gift of music to someone in Hamilton? This is your chance!
Will Gillespie is running a route on Saturday, March 6th! He’s a songwriter, guitarist and entertainer living in Hamilton. He has been described as an ever-evolving musical chameleon, the classic singer-songwriter, creating music without limitations on style or genre.
Originally from South Porcupine, northern Ontario, Will is known for his eclectic songwriting, evocative guitar playing and entertaining live show.
GUELPH! We choo-choo-choose Kent MacMillan for the conducting of the March 6th route!
Kent is a guy who is no stranger to performance! During the Covid shut downs, he has performed over 200 online shows!
He’s a mainstay in the Guelph music community! Kent MacMillan has been a professional singer/songwriter/guitarist for over 30 years. He has toured across the country in numerous national acts and played solo or with bands at thousands of venues. Musically he is well-known for both his high energy roots rock bands and his intimate solo acoustic shows. Stylistically his music is a bluesy country rock show along the lines of Bruce Springsteen, Bruce Cockburn, Tom Petty and Steve Earle. He has produced numerous albums of his own music as well as other Canadian artists. Kent is originally from Toronto but has been a staple of the local Guelph music scene for 20 years.
Due to WARMER WEATHER, we’ve seen increased interest, pushing us to add another conductor to Sunday, March 7th with Tarek Jafar and Bob Soulliere!
It’s Tony Coates!
Slices Pizza is going to be paired with Tony, so if you want some ‘za, Craft Heads beer and the vocal prowess of Mr. Coates…send us a message.
Tony Coates uses his big voice to perform a mix of R&B covers and other popular music, with some of his own songs sprinkled in. As the host of Phog Lounge’s Open Mic nights for five years, he’s covered Radiohead, Daniel Caesar, Leon Bridges and more.
